This is the policy for the hifilat.com website. For processing that occurs inside the program on your computer, see the App Privacy Policy.

This policy explains how we handle the data you provide through the hifilat.com website (primarily, your email address when you use the contact or newsletter subscription form). The HIFILAT SmartAudio Manager program runs 100% on your computer and has its own Privacy Policy (see §12).

2. WHAT DATA WE COLLECT AND HOW

Through the site we collect only the data you provide voluntarily:

We do not collect more data than necessary (minimization principle). We do not ask for your phone number, postal address, or payment data on the site.

3. WHAT WE USE IT FOR (PURPOSE)

We do not use your email for any other purpose, and we do not sell, rent, or transfer it to third parties for commercial purposes.

4. LEGAL BASIS

Processing is based on your consent (Law No. 21.719 on the Protection of Personal Data), which you give by checking the acceptance box on the form. For the newsletter, your subscription is additionally confirmed via a confirmation email (double opt-in): you are only subscribed and receive communications if you confirm from that email. Providing your email is voluntary: if you choose not to, you simply will not receive the newsletter or our reply, and you can still use the site normally. You may withdraw your consent at any time (see §7 and §8), without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.

5. PROCESSOR AND INTERNATIONAL TRANSFER

To manage the newsletter and mailings we use MailerLite (MailerLite Limited), an email marketing provider whose servers are located outside Chile (European Union / United States). This entails an international transfer of your email address. MailerLite processes the data on our behalf, under a data processing agreement that requires security and confidentiality measures, and has its own data protection safeguards (MailerLite policy: https://www.mailerlite.com/legal/privacy-policy). This international transfer is based on your consent —which you give when you subscribe knowing that we use this provider— and on the contractual safeguards noted above, in accordance with Law No. 21.719.

The site is hosted on Netlify, which —like any web server— processes technical access data (for example, your IP address) for the security and operation of the service. This technical data is not used to identify you or to build profiles.

6. COOKIES AND ANALYTICS

The site does not use tracking or advertising cookies, nor analytics tools (such as Google Analytics). It only stores a technical preference in your browser (the light/dark theme), which is not transmitted to us or to third parties.

7. YOUR RIGHTS

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, and object to the processing of your data, to portability, and to withdraw your consent at any time. To exercise any of them, write to contacto@hifilat.com; we will respond within the timeframes required by the applicable regulations.

In addition, in Chile you have the right to file a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Agency (Agencia de Protección de Datos Personales, the authority created by Law No. 21.719).

HIFILAT does not make automated decisions or build profiles with your data.

8. HOW TO UNSUBSCRIBE

Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link. By using it, you stop receiving communications immediately. You can also request removal by writing to contacto@hifilat.com.

9. RETENTION PERIOD

We keep your email address for as long as you remain subscribed. If you unsubscribe or withdraw your consent, we remove you from our mailing list (a minimal record of the unsubscribe may be kept to honor your decision not to be contacted).

10. MINORS

The site and the newsletter are not directed at minors. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors.

11. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this policy. We will publish the current version on this page and update the "Last updated" date.

12. RELATIONSHIP WITH THE APP POLICY

The HIFILAT SmartAudio Manager program has its own Privacy Policy, covering the processing that occurs locally on your computer: https://hifilat.com/en/privacidad/ . This website policy is complementary to it.

13. LANGUAGE

The Spanish version is the governing one. Any translation into another language is provided for informational purposes only; in the event of a discrepancy, the Spanish version shall prevail.
